Rosseti FGC UES completely renovates its 110 kV circuit breaker fleet at 220 kV Orbita substation to energize the Nizhnevartovsk district of Yugra
Rossetti FGC UES (FGC UES, PJSC) completed a project for upgrade of the switching equipment of the 220 kV Orbit substation in Yugra, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Territory. The 110 kV circuit breakers were completely replaced at the power facility allowing to increase the reliability of power supply to the consumers in the Nizhnevartovsk power district, including to the industry plants of Oil Company Rosneft, PJSC. The total cost of work amounted to about RUB 235 mn.
03/26/2020 Rosseti FGC UES provides 86 MW of power for Caspian Pipeline Consortium Rosseti FGC UES (FGC UES, PJSC) summed up the results of the scheduled measures to energize the facilities of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC). Starting from 2013, 130 MVA of transformer capacity was commissioned in the power system of Kuban, connecting lines to new substations from the existing 220 kV lines were built. Pursuant to the contract, 86 MW power were provided to a consumer from the Unified National Power Grid.
03/24/2020 Rosseti FGC UES starts testing innovative system of power grid protection at the largest substation in Moscow Rossetti FGC UES (FGC UES, PJSC) installed an innovative controlled switching device (CSD) at the most powerful power supply facility in Moscow - 500 kV Ochakovo substation. The equipment developed by specialists of the company's scientific and technical center and the All-Russian Relay Engineering Research Institute is designed to protect power grid facilities from over-voltages.
03/18/2020 Rosseti FGC UES ensures delivery of up to 1.3 GW of capacity of Novovoronezh NPP-2 to Belgorod Energy System Rosseti FGC UES (PJSC FGC UES) expanded one of the largest main substations in the Belgorod Region, namely its 500 kV Stary Oskol Substation. This allowed putting into commercial operation the second circuit of the 500 kV Donskaya – Stary Oskol Overhead Line, which was built in 2019 to transit energy from the Novovoronezh Nuclear Power Plant II (NPP-2) to the Belgorod Energy System. The total cost of work amounted to 6.3 bn rubles.
03/16/2020 Rosseti FGC UES and Central Energy Customs agree to switch to joint electronic document management Rosseti FGC UES (PJSC FGC UES) and the Central Energy Customs (CEC) signed the Procedure for Interaction in the Electronic Provision of Information about the Quantity of Electricity Carried across the State Border of the Russian Federation via power transmission lines. Information is forwarded to the CEC with the aim of complying with the requirements of regulatory framework of the Eurasian Economic Union and the Russian laws in the domain of customs regulation.
03/13/2020 Digital telecontrol system launched at two key main substations of Saint Petersburg Rosseti FGC UES (PJSC FGC UES) and SO UPS, JSC put into commercial operation the equipment remote control system in respect of the 330 kV Rzhevksya and Tsentralnaya Substations, which supply power to the central, northern, and northeastern districts of Saint Petersburg with a population of 1+ m people. The project will enable higher reliability and performance of energy facilities due to faster switching and minimized risk of personnel errors.
Key main substation of Nizhni Novgorod Region launches energy efficient systems of electricity consumption control
Rosseti FGC UES (PJSC FGC UES) finalized the project aimed at improving the energy efficiency of the 500 kV Nizhegorodskaya Substation. The facility launched unique integrated engineering solutions, which enable lower electricity consumption for the cooling of autotransformers, substation equipment and building heating. Works were completed under the corporate Energy Efficient Substation Project, which was given national status by decision of the Russian Ministry of Energy. As a result, auxiliary power consumption of the main substation will be more than halved vs. 2012.

03/03/2020 Rosseti FGC UES upgrades key power center of Transbaikal Territory with deployment of digital technologies FGC UES (Rosseti Group) has completed the upgrade of the Petrovsk-Zabaikalskaya 220 kV substation. 110 kV and 220 kV switchyards have been revamped, substation scheme revised, digital control and protection system implemented. The total cost of works amounted to 1.3 bn rubles. As a result, the maximum allowable power flow between Transbaikal Territory and Republic of Buryatia has been increased by 74%, with conditions provided for the development of the Trans-Siberian Railway.
03/02/2020 Rosseti FGC UES commissions 695-km fiber optic communications line in North-West networks FGC UES (Rosseti Group) has finished constructing a fiber optic communications line (FOCL) between Saint Petersburg and Cherepovets. The data transmission system is based on the dense wavelength division multiplexing technology (DWDM, up to 40 optical channels 100 Gbit/s each). The project has made it possible to provide high-speed digital links for utilities in the Leningrad and Vologda regions, to raise their level of observability and controllability, and to set up trunk communications between control centers of the North-West and the Center.

Murov, head of FGC, draws company's 2019 bottom line while meeting with top management In 2019, FGC UES (Rosseti Group) reduced its failure rate by 12% year-on-year. 4.7 GW of consumer power was connected to the Unified National Power Grid. Positive financial result was achieved in accordance with the Russian Accounting Standards (RAS). This was announced by Andrey Murov, Chairman of the Management Board, at a visiting meeting in the Krasnodar Territory with managers and heads of the company's branches (MES).
02/27/2020 10 MW power output ensured from UNPG for oil producing enterprises of West Malobalyk field FGC UES (Rosseti Group) has connected the energy recipients of CanBaikal (Neftisa Oil Company of SAFMAR Group) to the Magistralnaya 500 kV substation that provides power to the oil producing enterprises of the West Malobalyk field in Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District of Yugra. According to the contract, the consumer received 10 MW of power from one of the key power supply centers of the Nefteyugansk energy hub.
02/26/2020 Rosseti FGC UES provides 30 MW of power to Magnit retailer's greenhouse farm in Krasnodar Territory FGC UES (Rosseti Group) has connected the "Green Line" new greenhouse farm of Magnit retailer (Tander JSC) in Tikhoretsk town, Krasnodar Territory, to the Unified National Power Grid. The output of 30 MW of electrical power for consumers has been provided. In 2021, after fulfillment of the second and third stages of specifications and the upgrade of the Tikhoretskaya 500 kV substation, this figure will increase more than 3-fold – up to 96 MW. By then it is planned to complete the construction of the agricultural enterprise with the commissioning of 60 hectares of greenhouses.

02/13/2020 Main stage of upgrading Mirazh 220 kV substation that feeds Samotlorneftegaz is complete FGC UES (Rosseti Group) has renewed the switching equipment at the Mirazh 220 kV substation that provides power to oil and gas enterprises in the Nizhnevartovsky district of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District. This will improve the reliability of delivery of power to consumers. As the next stage, it is planned to expand the facility for two more feeders in order to deliver the necessary amount of power to Samotlorneftegaz (part of Rosneft Oil Company). The total cost of all works will be in excess of 621 mn rubles.
02/12/2020 FGC UES energy efficiency project wins international "Quality Innovation Award" The energy efficiency project by FGC UES (Rosseti Group) won the "Large Enterprise Innovations" prize at the Quality Innovation Award competition in Tel Aviv. The showcased technologies elaborated by the company's research and development center (R&D Center at FGC UES) allow reducing the electricity consumption for the balance-of-plant needs to 50% for brownfield and to 80% for greenfield substations.
02/11/2020 Federal Grid Company to invest RUB 2.4 mn into revamping of Kalininskaya 220 kV substation in Sverdlovsk region FGC UES (Rosseti Group) has commenced replacing the 110 kV switching equipment of the Kalininskaya 220 kV substation that feeds power to Yekaterinburg. This is the final stage of end-to-end revamping. Earlier, its 500 MVA autotransformers were fully replaced, and three outdoor gas-insulated switch feeders of the 220 kV switchyard were put into operation. The project aims at improving the reliability of power supply to the substation's consumers, including power engineering enterprises and defense manufacturers.
02/06/2020 Upgrade of Chara 220 kV substation for Russia's largest Udokan copper field power supply is complete FGC UES (Rosseti Group) has expanded the Chara 220 kV substation in the north of the Transbaikal Territory. The project has yielded the output of up to 50 MW of power from the Unified National Power Grid for the development of the Udokan copper field to the anchor resident of Transbaikalia PDA, Baikal Mining Company (BMC). The cost of works amounted to 500 mn rubles.
02/05/2020 Federal Grid Company provides power to Haval CUV factory in Tula region FGC UES (Rosseti Group) has increased the capacity of Severnaya 220 kV substation in the Tula region 1.5 times, up to 580 MVA. Conditions have been created for releasing up to 100 MW of power to residents of the Uzlovaya industrial park. This includes supplying power to the Havel Motor Manufacturing Rus car factory, part of the Chinese Great Wall Motor Company Ltd. The total cost of works amounted to 535 mn rubles.
